How Does a Sheet Metal Laser Cutter Work?

Fiber laser technology uses stimulated radiation to create a concentrated, powerful laser beam. The laser diode emits light which is then sent to the fiber optic cable for amplification. It works by putting a hole in the material for approximately ten seconds. A high-speed airflow will simultaneously clear the debris so that a clear picture can be taken of the output.

A fiber laser cutting machine typically uses computerised digital control technology. This allows cutting data to be received from the computer aided design station. These technologies allow you to control the laser’s surface or the laser itself in order to produce a particular pattern.
